Our Ministry

We believe that God expresses his love and passion very clearly through the lives of teenagers. Our youth ministry exists to reach all students, to invite them into the Christian family, to help them grow in their faith and to equip them to live in love and service to God and the world.

Our youth ministry provides a place for students who are spiritually hungry to explore the Christian faith in a loving and open community. This is also a place where students can go to find help and healing from the hurts and troubles of life. Those who have committed their lives to Christ will be encouraged to see how God can use them to change our world.

Students from 6th grade to 12th grade are welcome to join our community. Our weekly gatherings are held on Wednesdays from 6:15pm to 8:00pm during the school year. Check the church monthly calendar for specific info as the schedule varies, especially in the summer. Our gatherings typically consist of praise and worship, games, teaching and small groups.

And… here we go! This new year brings some exciting opportunities for the Emerge youth ministry. We are partnering with the Fuller Youth Institute (part of Fuller Seminary in California) to help us evaluate our youth ministry and to make it the most effective ministry possible. We will be a “Sticky Faith Cohort” meaning that we desire to help youth develop a faith that sticks for a lifetime. FYI is at the leading edge of research and teaching, so we look forward to the improvements that come forth from this year-long partnership. A final note – this partnership is not a youth ministry partnership, but a church partnership. So we’ll be looking for our church to get even more involved with our youth!

Time to get Blitzed! January brings our annual outing to Louisville for the Winter Blitz convention. Further details will be posted but please make note of the deadlines below.

  • January
  • 4 – 6:15-8:30pm – Bowling at Galaxy! Bring $9 for pizza, pop and 2 hours of bowling
  • 11 – Early deadline for Winter Blitz (cost is only $75)
  • 18 – Late deadline for Winter Blitz (cost is $85)
  • 27-29 – Winter Blitz in Louisville!
