Our Ministry
We believe that God expresses his love and passion very clearly through the lives of teenagers. Our youth ministry exists to reach all students, to invite them into the Christian family, to help them grow in their faith and to equip them to live in love and service to God and the world.
Our youth ministry provides a place for students who are spiritually hungry to explore the Christian faith in a loving and open community. This is also a place where students can go to find help and healing from the hurts and troubles of life. Those who have committed their lives to Christ will be encouraged to see how God can use them to change our world.
Our Ministry Continued
Students from 6th grade to 12th grade are welcome to join our community. Our weekly gatherings are held on Wednesdays from 6:15pm to 8:00pm during the school year. Check the church monthly calendar for specific info as the schedule varies, especially in the summer. Our gatherings typically consist of praise and worship, games, teaching and small groups.

November Happenings
In October, we closed out our series “Created to Connect” by dealing with dating. Our youth were challenged to examine their beliefs about dating and whether those were of the world or of God. Instead of solely focusing on boundaries, we chose instead to refl ect on the very thing that every Christian is called to be -- holy. God commands us to “be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy” (Lev. 19:2). Jesus commanded his followers to “be perfect…as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matt. 5:48). As one author reminds us, in dating and in the rest of life, the question is not “how far is too far?” but rather “how pure can I be?”
We’re going Beyond the Walls! On Monday, November 3, Emerge heads to Madison County’s new domestic violence shelter to help get it ready for their grand opening. We’ll do some cleaning, yard work and whatever else they need us to do. “Hope’s Wings” has a basket on the fi rst floor for donations towards this mission if you’d like to donate items.
Did someone say Fall retreat? Uh, yeah! From Friday, November 7 until Sunday, November 9, our youth will enjoy the great outdoors as we take the opportunity to slow down and see what God has to teach us. All we can say is that we’ll come back closer to each other and closer to God. All 6th through 12th graders are encouraged to come! We’re so sure of your satisfaction that we’ll even throw in a money-back guarantee!
