Fullday Kindergarten
Limited space is still available in our Full Day Kindergarten beginning in August. Your child must be 5 by October 1 to enroll. Call Lisha or Barb for more information, 859-626-8299.
Our part-time program will resume in September and we have just a few openings left. Call now to reserve your spot!!
Also, we are still in need of another computer for our Kindergarten classroom. If you or someone you know would be willing to donate a new or slightly used computer to the program, please let us know.
SCHOOL CLOSINGS:
TGP does not operate on the same closings schedule as Madison County for snow days. You must watch channel 18 or 27 to check for TGP closings. TGP will make every effort to be open but in some instances it may not be possible.

God’s Pantry Food Drive:
Every classroom will be participating in a food drive to benefit God’s Pantry from Dec. 6-10. Decorated boxes will be in each classroom for donation to be placed. Each classroom will be competing for a party. The winner will be awarded based on the number of donated items. Help your community and help your child’s classroom win a party.
OUTDOOR PLAY:
At TGP we feel it is important for children to enjoy the outdoors, weather permitting. If the weather is 32 degrees or above the children will still go outside to play. Please send your child dressed in appropriate cold weather attire: coat, gloves, and hat. Even with the cold weather the children do enjoy going outside.

The Growing Place is pleased to no longer be operating as a separate incorporation and to serve as a ministry of FUMC under the direction of a ministry team. Belinda Bowling, FUMC member, has agreed to serve as a ministry team chair. She joins us with a strong professional background in education and child development.
LUNCHES:
State regulations require that children’s lunches be nutritionally balanced. You can do this by sending in your child’s lunch:
- Protein- Meat, Peanut butter yogurt, or cheese
- Fruit or veg. 2 serv. 1 of each or 2 veg.
- Milk-TGP supplies liquid milk Health water or energy drinks are not intended for children. Grain-Pasta, Bread, Crackers Or Rice
Please remember that a charge of $1.00 will be added to your child’s account for any items TGP supplements.

Needed One Additional Computer
Preparations for our new full-day kindergarten continues. We are still in need of one addiyional computer for that classroom. If you have a good used computer, please consider donaying to The Growing Place. We have only three (3) spots remaining in our kindergarten class. Call us now to get more information, 626-8299.
The Growing Place Class Openings
The Growing Place is excited to announce FULL-TIME KINDERGARTEN, beginning August 2011. Classes will run from 8:00am to 3:00pm Monday thru Friday. Fees are $125/week; extended care (3:00-5:00pm) is an additional $25/week. Registration is on a fi rst come, first serve basis.
