The Youth Praise Team leads the Youth Group in contemporary worship. If you are interested in playing or singing, please contact Jamie Jordan, Youth Director at 623-3580 or youth@richmondfumc.org. This is a great opportunity to learn as you go.

LoveNotes Children Choir began meeting on September 10th. We (children in grades K-5th grade) meet every Wednesday from 5:00-6:00 pm in the adult Choir Room.

LoveNotes children’s choir isn'’t about perfect singing, diction, or learning the most and the hardest songs. It’'s about giving children words of joy, praise and love so they can grow closer to the Lord. These words will be on their lips forever. LoveNotes also gives children a chance to participate in worship and minister to others through their music. Only children have the innocence and purity to lead others.

Give your children this chance to grow in the Lord while they minister to others. We have lots of empty chairs. We would love to have them all filled. Join us soon.

News From Music Ministry

Thanks to all who came together to share: “A Family Christmas Celebration”. Thanks Also to Gale Heard, for creating and planning this special Christmas worship service. It was a joy to see the various groups pull together to make things happen in your absence.

Thank you children for the Christmas story that you gave us in both word and song.

Thank you adult Drama cast for reminding us that true life is only found in the person of Jesus Christ.

Thanks to the Praise Team for the worshipful music, that you shared with us.

Also thank you Chancel Choir for your extra effort and beautiful, meaningful singing.

We appreciate “you folks in the sound booth” for making our effort intelligible. Thanks for your extra time to make things happen for all of us.

And last, but not least, thank you general staff and church members for your encouragement and service to all of us.

Our time of worship reflected the title: “Family Christmas Celebration.” There was a great diversity in what was sung and spoken. At the same time there was a wonderful sense of unity.

Jesus in His last recorded prayer with His disciples said: “I am not praying only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in Me through the message. I pray that they will be one, just as You and I are one - as You are in Me, Father, and I am in You. And may they be in Us so that the world will believe You sent Me.” (John 17:20-23)

May God continue to draw us into greater unity in diversity so that people will be drawn to Christ and give God the Father glory in all that we do in His service.

Adult Praise Team

Praise Team

The Praise Team is comprised of both instrumentalists and singers. We lead in worship during the Blended 10:45 Service. Because it is a blended service, we use both traditional hymns (often in a contemporary style) and praise choruses. We practice on Wednesday evenings from 6:15 to 7:25 pm. Come and join us!
