MMC Praises

As of Sunday September 14th, our goal was reached when our collections to date reached $603,000.00. The amount of $600,000.00 is what the banks are looking for to move forward with financing.

We have met with and are expecting proposals from five different banks. We have received one proposal. The other four proposals should be coming in the next two weeks. When we have them all, the best proposal will be chosen and recommended to the church.

Construction

September 18th, storm drain manhole and retaining pit connection piping were installed between 398 and 402 North Street. This will allow us to connect with the retention system with a minimum of further disturbance to the front of our rental houses.

At the MMC September 17th MMC meeting the committee met with architect, Tony Worley, to review the current floor plan. The construction drawings are planned to be done by the end of October. At that point we will put the project out to bid and move forward on the state review and approvals. Our goal is to have the footers in place before bad weather comes, so that work can continue regardless of the weather.

Play Ground

The wall has been built and the equipment has been installed. The state inspector visited the site to check the equipment installation and the fence location. The inspector gave the go ahead for finishing the playground and also commented that 90% of the people in the state would give their left arm for a facility this nice. A hardy thanks is extended to Jimmy Kelly for his work on this playground project!

MMC Committee Meetings

The MMC Committee continues to meet on most Wednesday nights at 7:30 pm in the Hartman Room. You are invited to attend, if you have input or want to observe. If you do plan on attending, check with the church office, 623-3580, to confirm that the committee is meeting that night.
