@richmondfumc.org if you have questions, or are interested in taking part in this group. Grieving takes time, but the support of understanding companions can lessen the pain. We hope you will join us.
Nancy Tomlinson has appreciated the positive responses she has received to the invitations extended to persons who have never served Holy Communion. She is equally thankful when those who find serving Communion to be a powerful spiritual experience, ask to serve Communion again.
We want to extend an invitation to others who have not yet been invited and would like the opportunity to serve. If you would like to volunteer, call Nancy Tomlinson, 623-2376 or Mary Lou Stephens, 623-3580. Whether this is your first time to serve, or you have served Communion many times, we appreciate your willingness to be a servant at our Lord’s table.
The FUMC Handbell Choir, Music in Motion, will resume rehearsals on August 20. We rehearse from 6:30 - 7:30 pm on Wednesdays in Room 311
We are always looking for new members to join. Anyone from ninth grade to adult is welcome, no ringing experience necessary. If you are interested, please contact Cheryl Jackson at 626-3644 or cheryl.jackson@eku.edu for more information.
Come express your love and praise and make beautiful music for our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Men’s Ministry will be participating in a fund raising program offered by Kroger. This program allows 4% of money spent at Kroger to be returned to our church ministries. To take advantage of this opportunity our congregation will be asked to purchase Kroger Gift Cards for $5.00 each. These cards can be loaded with any amount of money and can be used for anypurchase at any Kroger store. The cards are meant to be reused. Additional funds can be added to the card at anytime. As long as we continue to reload and use our cards, money will be refunded to our church ministries. The more participation we have, the greater our reward
All men are welcome and encouraged to attend a Bible Study in the Hartman Room at 6:30 pm each Wednesday. They are studying, “If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat!” by John Ortberg.
The Men’s Ministry meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm (NEW TIME!) in the Hartman Room.
More men are needed to assist with “fix-it-up” projects for members of the congregation and community.
If you have any questions about these programs or the Men’s Ministry, please contact Doug Petry, 986-3683 or Dave Alexander, 625-1663.

Many thanks to all who donated red hats which were distributed to the residents at the “Morning Pointe” Assisted Living Facility on October 14th when the Red Hatters were invited for ‘Afternoon Tea’. The residents loved the hats! Everyone enjoyed the delicious cookies and candy made by the residents. The residents were such a blessing to all of us, and we plan to return for a visit in December.
