This spring we will be offering a Christian sex-education class for 5th-6th graders. The faith-based curriculum provides lessons for children and their parents, so we will need two teachers for the children’s classes (male and female), and a teacher for the parent’s class. We ask for your prayers as we wait for the Lord to fill this need. Perhaps this is where YOU can serve!

Spirit Filled Hats

February, 2012 The “Spirit Filled Hats” RHS Chapterettes will meet on Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Olive Garden Restaurant, Richmond Centre, at 11:30 am. The yearly chapter dues of $10 are due before the end of February. Please call Hostesses, Time Grijalba at 626-9517 or Alice Edwards at 623-0793 by February 20. Guests are cordially invited. NOTE: If the Madison County Schools are closed because of inclement weather, the event will be re-scheduled. The local yearly chapter dues of $10 are due in January and February. Cooking with Ruth is coming up again, beginning Feb. 11th; sign up on the bulletin board outside the church office 50+ Wedding Anniversary couples - you may bring your pictures by the church office or my office on Tuesday through Thursday between 11:00am and 3:00pm. If you need to speak to me about them, please call me at 358-0083 to make sure I will be in the office when you come, as I am in and out a lot during the day. I need to get all pictures by Wednesday, Feb. 8th.

Please remember all those who are on our prayer list, and the many others in need of God's love and healing - there are so many in our church, community, and world who are suffering from loss, illness, loneliness, discouragement, financial setbacks, fear of danger, and so much more. Our prayers can and do make a difference in this confused and hurting world.

Pathfinders Sunday School Class

Class will begin a new study of "Heroes of faith". Over the next two months we will examine several men and women that embodied what it meant to trust God and follow his will. The heroes are noah, Abel, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, moses, and Rahab. Everyone is invited to attend the class which meets in MMC21. SOUPER BOWL 2012!

Our youth are competing with Red house Baptist and First Baptist to see which group can donate the most canned food by Super Bowl 2012 (Feb 5). Please help! Cans may be dropped off at the rear door of the main building or in the lobby of the MMC

TIME TO SKI

Emerge youth will be leaving at 4 pm on Friday, February 10th for some night skiing at perfect Nosth. Cost is $48 and the deadline is Sunday, Feb 5th.

February 11th We are kicking off with Mardi Gras... Jambalaya Chicken and Sausage and February 25th we’ll learn to make yummy Jams & Syrups.
